Roland V Drums
Roland V drums are Roland’s line of electronic drum sets, ranging from a few hundred dollars up to around $7000 dollars for their flagship model. Components of the V-drum sets are also sold individually.
There are 3 main types of V-Drum trigger devices: mesh-head, rubber pad, and cymbal. The newest and best of the drum triggers are the mesh-heads. The rubber-coated pads are less expensive. V-Cymbals come in several models designed to emulate the physical properties of acoustic cymbals of various types such as hi-hat, crash, and ride.
The mesh-head concept is fundamental to the V-drum line, and have revolutionized electronic drums by providing such a high-quality responsive surface that many drummers who didn’t like previous electronic drum pads have found the mesh-heads to be excellent. Mesh-heads are also unusually quiet in opperation compared to even other electronic drum heads. The revolutionary V-Hi-Hat is the first electronic Cymbal to offer such a realisic and versatile range of expression.
Overall, Roland V-drums offer outstanding quality, versatility and expressive possibilities to today’s drummers, as well as the usual benefits of electronic drums such as easy transportation and set up, quiet opperation and most of all a vast range of drum-sound possibilties.
